NEW YORK — The New York Times’ Fashion and Fashion Design Weekly will air a special edition of its new paper bag style show on Thursday.
The show will be on the New York Fashion Week, which begins Friday, at the Empire Polo Club in Times Square.
The first show, titled Paper Bag House, will be held at the Polo Club from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.p.m., Friday and Saturday.
It will be streamed on the Times website, and there will be a special exhibit at the show.
This year’s event will be the first time that a paper bag show has been staged in Times square, which has been one of the New Yorker’s favorite places for a fashion show since the 1930s.
The Times’ history of being a fashion and fashion design publication goes back to 1932, when it began publishing the paper bag and other styles of clothing and accessories, including a daily newspaper and an online magazine.
This fall, the New Times was featured on The Colbert Report.
