The lion, named “Crazy Joe,” is now officially a $50 million pet food business for the Trump administration.
“The Lion King” is owned by Donald Trump, who owns the lion himself.
The business, which began as a one-day event in 2008, has been expanded into a pet food and other food businesses under the Trump family brand.
Trump, his sons Donald Jr., Eric and Ivanka, and daughter Ivanka’s husband Jared are also all listed as owners.
The Trump family is one of the biggest beneficiaries of the lion, which is owned for Trump by the Washington Zoo and Aquarium and is used as a mascot.
The lion is “a real iconic symbol of the Trump brand and we want to ensure the Lion King is the best, most iconic mascot in the world,” the company said.
